KARGAMobile: Android app for portable, real-time, easily interpretable analysis of antibiotic resistance genes
In collaboration with Drs. Christina Boucher and Mattia Prosperi, we have created KARGAMobile, the first mobile application capable of doing real-time analysis of ARG (antibiotic resistance genes) via nanopore sequencing, currently in the Android environment.
The result was achieved through the adaptation and enhancement of the ARG identification tool, KARGA, to suit the dynamic demands of mobile environments. The application showcases a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) and facilitates the generation of visually appealing, printable, and easily shareable reports.
